Pixta, Inc. is a privately held company, operating since 2004.

Pixta is service based company with products designed for people who work with and manage digital graphics. Pixta's services have been cloud/web-based since back in 2004. This was before buzzwords like: SAAS or SASS (Software As A Service, Software as a Secure Service) were common.

Why? Because before Pixta, when we worked at other software companies, we needed to update our customers software on a regular basis. This was necessary to get those customers the features they needed, or fix bugs in previously issued software. The update process entailed providing CDs/DVDs full of code/assets or huge downloads (sometimes from slow overseas connections). Besides the headaches of managing multiple versions of code for different customers needs, and different versions of Windows®, we seemed trapped in a cycle of being a couple features behind what our customers needed. The approach of shipping disks, for multiple operating systems was: time-consuming to manage, difficult for us to test and error-prone.

So in 2004 we started Pixta, Inc. to provide a solution for professionals that dealt with graphic files. We took the plunge to move to a complete secure, server-based infrastructure accessible by the ubiquitous web browser.

Pixta, Inc. has never shipped a product on a disk, CD, DVD or for a specific operating system, since its inception. Our products are accessed from servers we've built, and customized, located on the Internet backbone, in a secure facility, with nightly-automated-off-site backup.

Customer focused is an understatement for us; Our development road-map is prioritized by our customers needs. At Pixta, our focus is making technology easy-to-use for the purpose of assisting our customers in being more productive.
